Charlie Weber grew up in Wickford, a small inlet in Narragansett Bay, Rhode Island, a place that continues to inspire his work. Working primarily in color photography, he photographs outside, though the pictures tend to circle back inside, exploring personal myth, memory, and connection to place. Often incorporating book making, writing, music, and video into his practice, he works out of his studio in Providence, RI. His work has been exhibited at Ville Heike, Baxster St at the Camera Club of New York, and The Rhode Island International Film Festival among others. He teaches at the Hartford Art School and the Penumbra Foundation, and prints photobooks for artists using RISO processes.
